DECA offers 60 competitive events for members to participate in. Students can compete in roleplays or prepared events. In roleplays, competitors take a cluster exam and apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios in front of a judge. They can compete with a friend or by themselves. Members participating in prepared events create a written project and present in front of a judge, teams can have up to 3 members.

DECA prepares high school students to be the next generation of community leaders, developing skills like competence, innovation, integrity, and teamwork. Students also hone in their problem-solving and public speaking skills through competition. Members have the opportunity to attend fall leadership conferences and leadership academies at the State & International Career Development Conference.

We frequently do fundraisers for local charities, including Miracle Minute during football games, we host community events such as the Princess & Superhero Breakfast, and volunteer at local organizations such as the Tipton County Animal Shelter. Members also get the opportunity to attend chapter events and participate in DECA Week!
